Park Seung-il is the Director of Asan Medical Center in Seoul.

He was appointed as the hospital director in 2021 and is currently serving his second term.

He was born on July 14, 1954.

He graduated from Seoul National University College of Medicine in 1985 and earned his Master's and Ph.D. degrees in Medicine from the Graduate School of Seoul National University.

He completed his residency at Seoul National University and worked as a fellow at Asan Medical Center.

He was appointed to the Department of Thoracic Surgery at the University of Ulsan College of Medicine.

After working as a research fellow at Harvard University, he served as the Director of the Tissue and Cell Resource Center, Head of the Clinical Support Department, Director of Planning and Coordination, and Deputy Director of Clinical Services at Asan Medical Center.

He is active as Vice President and Public Relations Chairman of the Korean Hospital Association.

In 2017, he became a renowned authority in lung transplantation by successfully performing the first living-donor lung transplant in Korea.

He is recognized for contributing to the advancement of the hospital's information system as the head of the AMIS (Asan Medical Information System) 3.0 project at Asan Medical Center.

He emphasizes that overcoming crises and achieving sustainable growth requires change and innovation.
