Kim Young-min is the President and CEO of SFA. He also serves as the CEO of its affiliate, SFA Semiconductor.

He was born on January 25, 1967.

He graduated from Daegu High School and the Department of Ceramic Engineering at Yonsei University. He earned a master's degree in Inorganic Materials Engineering from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST). He also completed an MBA program at Columbia University in the United States.

He began his career at POSCO, and gained experience in finance through positions at consulting firm Bain & Company and Citigroup’s offices in New York, Hong Kong, and Seoul.

He joined SFA in 2009 as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). In 2012, he was appointed President and CEO of SFA.

He has diversified the company’s portfolio from display manufacturing to secondary batteries and semiconductors.

SFA was founded during the Asian financial crisis by 252 engineers who spun off from the automation business unit of Samsung Techwin (formerly Samsung Aerospace, now Hanwha Aerospace).
