Kim Yong-beom is the Vice Chairman and CEO of Meritz Fire & Marine Insurance. He also holds the position of Vice Chairman and CEO of Meritz Financial Group.

He graduated from Hansung High School and the Business Administration Department of Seoul National University.

He began his career at Daehan Life Insurance's Securities Investment Analysis Team.

He moved to CSFB Securities, where he developed arbitrage trading techniques linking foreign exchange and bond derivatives, becoming the youngest director at CSFB Securities at the age of 34.

He worked his way up to General Manager of Fund Management at Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance, and Team Leader and Head of Bond Management at Samsung Investment Trust Management, being promoted to Executive Director in his 30s.

After being recruited as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Meritz Securities, he became the CEO.

After being appointed as CEO of Meritz Fire & Marine Insurance, he increased performance centered on long-term insurance, leading to his promotion to Vice Chairman.

He ignited the long-term insurance business in the insurance industry.

He emphasizes strict performance-based management and dislikes authority and formality. He prefers quick decision-making and anti-authoritarianism.
