He joined IBK Industrial Bank of Korea and served in various positions including Head of the Future Innovation Team in the Strategic Planning Department, Chief Secretary, Head of the Future Planning Office, Head of the Comprehensive Planning Department, Head of the Marketing Strategy Department, Head of the Busan-Ulsan Regional Headquarters, and Head of the Gyeongdong Regional Headquarters.
He was appointed as the CEO of IBK Capital, a subsidiary of IBK Industrial Bank of Korea, after serving as Head of the Consumer Protection Group (Vice President) and Head of the Management Strategy Group (Vice President).
He returned to IBK Industrial Bank of Korea as Executive Director (Senior Vice President) and eventually became the President of IBK Industrial Bank of Korea.
