Following the tenure of Choi Hyun-man, the former Chairman and CEO of Mirae Asset Securities, he is interested in establishing the second phase of the professional management system for the Mirae Asset Group.
Born in 1968, he graduated from Seoul National University with a degree in Economics.
He joined Mirae Asset Global Investments and served as CEO of Mirae Asset Global Investments' overseas branches, CEO of Mirae Asset Global Investments, and Head of Global Business at Mirae Asset Securities.
After joining the Mirae Asset Group, he pioneered overseas markets as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Mirae Asset Hong Kong Asset Management, Head of Mirae Asset Global Investments Singapore, and Head of the Brazil branch.
As CEO of Mirae Asset Global Investments, he expanded the overseas business through corporate acquisitions, including the acquisition of Global X, a U.S. Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) company.
At Mirae Asset Securities, he was responsible for the Innovation Promotion Team and the Global Business Division.
He is considered to be well-versed in the overseas expansion strategy of Park Hyeon-joo, the Chairman of Mirae Asset Group.
