Kim Hee-cheul is the President & CEO of Hanwha Impact and also serves as the President & CEO of Hanwha Energy.
At Hanwha Impact and Hanwha Energy, he is expanding the hydrogen and renewable energy businesses and discovering new business opportunities to increase corporate value, assisting Vice Chairman Kim Dong-kwan, the third-generation owner, in his management succession.
He was born on October 10, 1964, in Daegu.
He graduated from Daegu Seonggwang High School and the Chemical Engineering Department of Seoul National University.
He earned a master's degree in chemical engineering from Seoul National University Graduate School and an MBA from the University of Washington Business School in the United States.
After joining Hanwha Group, he served as CEO of Hanwha SolarOne, Hanwha General Chemical, Hanwha Total, and Hanwha Q CELLS, leading the chemical, material, and solar businesses.
In 2021, he was appointed President & CEO of Hanwha Impact and the holding company division of Hanwha Energy.
He is a prominent strategic expert within Hanwha Group and led the chemical division task force team in the 'big deal' between Hanwha Group and Samsung Group.
He served as an adjunct professor in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at Seoul National University and is a general member of the National Academy of Engineering of Korea, recognized as a chemical expert.
