Hwang Joo-ho is the CEO of Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (KHNP).

Born on March 22, 1956, in Busan, he graduated from Kyunggi High School and Seoul National University with a degree in Nuclear Engineering. He further obtained his Master's and Ph.D. degrees in Nuclear Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology in the United States.

After serving as a professor in the Department of Nuclear Engineering at Kyung Hee University, he moved to become the director of the Korea Institute of Energy Technology Evaluation and Planning (KETEP).

He served as co-chair of KHNP's Innovation Growth Committee and chairman of the Nuclear Safety Advisory Committee before being appointed as CEO of KHNP in August 2022.

He is KHNP's first CEO from an academic background following its separation from KEPCO and is an authority in the field of used nuclear fuel.
