Choi Joo-sun is the President and CEO of Samsung Display.
He is focusing on solidifying dominance in the small and medium-sized OLED market with new display form factors, while also dedicating efforts to securing OLEDOS (micro OLED) technology as a future growth driver.
He was born on May 21, 1963.
He graduated from Daedong High School in Busan and majored in Electronic Engineering at Seoul National University.
He received both his Master’s and Doctorate degrees in Electronic Engineering from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST).
After working at Hynix Semiconductor and Micron, he held positions at Samsung Electronics as Head of DRAM Design Team, Head of Strategic Marketing Team, and Head of Americas.
In 2020, he moved to Samsung Display, where he was appointed head of the Large Display Business Unit and later became the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
He is also the Chairman of the Korea Display Industry Association.
Although he is strict in his work, he is proactive in communicating with employees.
He is recognized as an experienced management strategist who quickly senses market changes and makes decisive decisions.
